London Taxi Radio runs on Professional Radio Automation Software called SAM Broadcaster.

Here are some of the technical specs for our setup:

SAM Broadcaster runs on a VPS with a 2 core processor and 2 Gig or RAM and 120Gb of disc space

The VPS has a 1Gbps connection into the internet backbone with dual redundancy.

There are 10 encoders set up within SAM Broadcaster which stream the radio station output at various Bit Rates to our streaming servers which are also connected to the internet with a 1Gbps connection.

We also have 2 backup Automation servers in 2 different locations:
Backup 1 3Gig Processor 2Gig RAM 1TB Harddrive connected to e 80 Meg connection to the internet.
Backup 2 2Gig Dual Core Processor 2 Gig Ram 2TB Harddrive connected to a 40Meg connection to the internet.

Our streaming servers are located on 3 different servers with 3 different IP addresses in 2 different
locations.

We use Tune In Radio as our primary source to the end user (the listener) as most of our listeners do so via their mobile devices while out working in their taxis.
